"Do not wait for things to start, make things happen"

To help students understand the real meaning of the launching one's career in corporate world, PROTON organised a special EGLS. This question which surely pops up in each young manager's mind was beautifully answered by Mr. Amit Goenka, VP Deloitte, who visited the campus of PROTON business school Indore for final recruitments.

"Launching your career is like marketing yourself". For a product to get launched the foremost priority is to know the market as well as the product. Likewise one needs to know oneself and build on one's USP. Without investing properly in understanding oneself, it is not possible to set about launching the career.

The first thing which he explained at length to Protons was to "know themselves", because in the midst of cut-throat competition there is an immense need that an individual should know their areas of expertise.

The second area he deliberated upon was the need and necessity for everyone to achieve high degree of competence in communication skills. These skills not only mean how well you speak but also how much clarity you have in your thoughts.

Mr. Goenka suggested that everyone needed to build contacts and a web of network, which helps in future in unimagined ways.

It was a beautifully interactive session and all the students were enlightened by the simple yet valuable inputs. Prof.Varun Gupta, CEO of PROTON, presented a token of appreciation to Mr. Amit Goenka, on behalf of the entire PROTON.
