Since the time prehistoric man started leading a settled life, he felt the need to indulge in leisure activities like sports. The cave paintings of the Stone Age people and various idols found at archaeological sites provide ample evidence of this. Even in the modern age, recreation has become a very important part of our life, wherein, stressed and overworked professionals and students find the right outlet by engaging in a weekend in indoor sports. Thus, it was a totally different atmosphere on Saturday at PROTON business school, Indore as there was an indoor sports event “ASWAMEDH 2010” which was held with full enthusiasm.
The participants were divided into four teams naming Eklavya, Arjun, Param, and Shaurya.
All kinds of indoor games were held like carom, chess, sitting handball and numerous one minute games like funny looks, skipping and spoon race. The Protons were full of energy and participated with true sportsman spirit. The competition was very tough but the event boomed and all participants were awarded with certificates. The winner of the event Team ‘Shaurya’ was felicitated by the Chief Mentor, Mr. Sandeep Manudhane.
