Monday the 2nd of March 2009 witnessed Mr. Nishant Nyati, Regional Director (MP) Anand Rathi Securities Ltd. India addressing the students of PROTON business school. The theme of the session : “A Brief About Indian Stock Markets and its Working”

Mr. Nyati talked about the Indian Financial Market and its functioning. He informed the students how stock market works in India by emphasizing on the role of NSE and BSE. He also educated the audience about the functioning of SEBI for governing the Stock market.

Mr. Nyati threw light on various areas related with finance and investments. He covered aspects such as asset allocation, Portfolio management, risk and return associated with investments and securities analysis. He talked about the technical analysis i.e. the method of predicting the stock price based on different factors. Stock analysts take note of the past market, price of the stock and volume of the traded stocks to do the stock analysis and thereby forecast the price of the stock. In practice technical analysis is done on the basis of the different models and trading patterns. 

Mr. Nyati engaged the students in a lively interaction throughout the session and answered their queries. He left the Protons in an introspective mood, contemplating opportunities of wealth creation in the stock market.
