Cricket is not only a game in India - it is now worship of the Gods of Indian Cricket Team! Sachin, Dravid, Dhoni and many others are the members of the Godly pantheon. Indians have always been interested in knowing everything about the game; they are always keen to know all about the inside and outside of the dressing room!
To give an insight into Cricket in India we had with us Mr. Sanjay Jagdale, Jt. Sec. BCCI and distinguished member, Board of Advisors, PROTON business school. A former cricketer, administrator and a selector of Indian national cricket team, Mr. Jagdale has been mentoring cricketers for decades now.
He shared his real life experiences in the world of cricket. He also talked about Team India’s journey through all these years. The session was very interactive as instead of delivering a lecture, he preferred answering the questions of the inquisitive Protons. He was not disappointed.. the flurry started almost instantaneously.
He answered a barrage of questions comprising gems like:
• Why is Sachin always in the team even if he doesn’t perform?
• Why foreign coaches are preferred over Indian coaches?
• What is the selection criterion for the selectors?
• Which is your most unforgettable moment from your entire journey till now?
At the end there was a rapid fire round in which some really interesting questions were fired at Mr. Jagdale for which he gave some really interesting answers. Some of them:
• Red ball or white ball?
Any ball, I just love hitting them!
• Test match or one day?
Test because it is the original version of the game
• Three all time favorite cricketers?
Sachin Tendulkar, Sir Don Bradman and Ricky Ponting
• Wasim Akram or Glenn Mcgrath?
Wasim Akram
The session was awesome as Protons really enjoyed the new format of our EGLS which was totally based on questions and answers. It was a different and enlightening session. It's time for positive change!
We have with us today...
|
Welcome to PROTON Sir!
|
Are we all ready to see inside the dressing rooms?
|
Sir, my question is...
|
Sachin is not only a player...
|
Sir, what are your views on...
|
The main reason is that...
|
Cricket is not everybody's cup of tea...
|
It has now become larger than life!
|
Thank You Sir for your towering presence!
