"Managing Waste”- An initiative by the winners of “Swavlamban”- 2009

The positive energy espoused by PROTON business school seems to be spreading fas! PROTON fosters young entrepreneurial ventures and also has supported them in many ways.

SWAVLAMBAN, a National Business Plan contest was recently organized in association with the National Entrepreneurship Network which offers opportunities to young innovators to develop practical business plans based on their conceptual knowledge, understanding and creativity. It was an attempt to explore the entrepreneurial skills of the students and to encourage budding managers to be the future entrepreneurs. It was the sixth national business plan contest which was organized by Prestige Institute of Management and Research on the 26th of March, 2009.

For it, young Protons came up with a business plan which was not only full of positivity but also catered to necessity. Proton Aditya Kumar and Proton Yash Bargale came up with a Waste Management System which was the proposal with the theme of managing waste right from the grassroot level. The plan clearly showed that it can be a profitable venture, but also shows adequate concern towards the society and the environment. Their business plan shared how they can make this opportunity and responsibility into a viable entrepreneurial venture. Lot of grassroot survey and work was done by them to prepare the background of the project.

Institutes from all over India participated in this event and Proton Aditya Kumar’s and Proton Yash Bargale’s business plan was highly appreciated. They proudly bagged the first prize for the same!

PROTON business school’s Chief Mentor, Mr. Sandeep Manudhane said that the institute is proud of the winners and expects the tradition of success to flourish.
