PROTON Information Seminar

The grand launching of PROTON business school took place when the top team of PROTON business school informed interested students and parents about the structured and positively charged plans for the same, in an information seminar on Sunday, the 2nd of March 2008.

The information seminar was attended by eager students, and parents who came to understand the philosophy of the upcoming Business School.

Presenting the seminar were Sandeep Manudhane (IIT-D), Chief Mentor, Dr Manas Fuloria (Stanford, IIT-D), Director and Prof Varun Gupta (Gold medallist), CEO, Proton. They are part of the core Top Team at PROTON business school and are personally involved in setting up this world class education institution.

Students and parents present in large numbers were eager to know more about PROTON business school and the special world-class facilities provided at the PROTON business school.

With a mission of "Creating responsible professionals for 21st century", Proton would commence its maiden academic session from July 2008 with five specialisations (Marketing and Sales, HR, Operations, IT and Systems, and Finance) having only 60 seats each. More locations will be added to Proton's geographical spread soon.

The curriculum will be highly evolved and refined, and is being designed by a four-member team of IIM-Ahmedabad graduates, led by the 2-times CAT Topper Mr Devashish Chakravarty.

The Chief Mentor Mr. Manudhane informed the gathering that students will be awarded a UGC recognised MBA degree alongwith Proton's PG Programme (made up of two independent 11 months modules). The B-School will follow globally oriented modules to prepare its students to face global challenges.

PROTON business school CEO Varun Gupta and Director, strategic initiatives, Dr. Manas C Fuloria informed that personality assessment stage for admissions will be conducted on 5th of March in 12 cities across India. Candidates who have appeared in XAT, CAT, GMAT, MAT can seek admissions for sessions beginning in July 2008. Graduates and those in final year of graduation are also eligible for admissions.

The seminar was very informative and many questions were raised by students and their parents in the open house which were satisfactorily answered by the speakers. After the completion of seminar, many queries were also answered personally in one-to-one talks.

Proton promises to be the harbinger of a positive movement of change.
