PROTON's Global MDP - August 2008

PROTON business school successfully conducted the first Global MDP at its Indore campus on 01st of August. Gracing the ocassion were special guests from the US, Dr Rosen Sharma and Prof Dr Vishal Gaur.

The programme theme was "Technology and Operations Management for Enterpreneurs and Executives". It was designed both for students, and corporates.

Enthusiastic participation from students and corporates made the programme extremely interesting and enjoyable for everyone. Latest trends from around the world were discussed at length, and participants benefitted from the vast range of experience of the speakers.

Dr Rosen Sharma who spoke on technology trends is an IIT Gold-Medallist and a PhD from Cornell University. His company VxTreme was acquired by Microsoft for its Windows media player technology. He is a technology visionary and a serial enterpreneur. Dr Vishal Gaur who spoke on operations management is an IIT-IIM product who did his PhD from Wharton. He is currently teaching at the Harvard Business School visiting from the Johnson School at Cornell University. Dr Manas Fuloria (Director - Strategic Initiatives at Proton) coordinated the Global MDP.

The Global MDP series is part of Proton's global faculty exposure programme, where Protons (the students at Proton) are given the excellent opportunity of learning from the best minds around the world.
