Now you can earn handsome scholarships enabling your high quality education at PROTON if you fulfil any one of the six criteria listed below.

Category A Scholarship - ACADEMIC HONOURS

If you scored 70 percent or more (aggregate across all subjects) in stdd. X board exam, and 70 percent or more  (aggregate across all subjects) in stdd XII board exams, and have stood amongst Top Two in your entire college in your graduation education throughout, then you are eligible for a scholarship of Rs 1 lacs.

Category B Scholarship – FAMILY HONOURS

If you are a son/daughter of a Teacher or a Scientist or the son /daughter /grandson /granddaughter of a National Awardee, AND you have scored 60 % or above in your graduation course throughout, then you are eligible for a scholarship of Rs 35,000=00.

Category C Scholarship – COMPETITIVE EXAMS HONOURS

If you have earned the final scholarship award in the NTSE exam (of NCERT) or scored a top rank (upto 2500) in IITJEE or scored a top rank (upto 800) in AIEEE or scored a top rank (upto 100) in a State PET, AND you have scored 60 % or above in your graduation course throughout, then you are eligible for a scholarship of Rs 35,000=00.

Category D Scholarship – PROFESSIONAL HONOURS

If you have already earned a qualification at professional or PG level like CA (chartered account) or CS (company secretary) or ME /MTech (Engineering) or ICWA (Cost and Works Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), AND you have scored 60 % or above in your graduation course throughout, then you are eligible for a scholarship of Rs 35,000=00.

Category E Scholarship – WORK EX HONOURS

If you have an accumulated work experience of three years or more (working in some recognized firm(s) after completing your graduation course) AND you have scored 60 % or above in your graduation course throughout, AND you have a letter of recommendation from your last employer, then you are eligible for a scholarship of Rs 35,000=00.

Category F Scholarship – Dr.G.S.Manudhane Memorial Outstanding Scholar Scholarship (Merit cum Means)

If you are an extraordinary individual with a track record that is simply outstanding, then you may be considered for a Full fee waiver. This means a near 100% waiver on entire program tuition fees. This is a case-to-case basis and a merit-cum-means system.

Primary eligibility condition for this scholarship is a mix of all the following : an outstanding academic record throughout your career, with supporting brilliant extra curricular & co-curricular activities, and a genuine merit-cum-means case. Normally, students who have topped in every class / standard throughout their formal school and UG education, have participated vigorously in activities and won state or national awards, cracked national level competitive exams with flying colours and have proven communication skills will be considered for this award.

Governing terms and conditions for award of scholarships

  1. This is a limited-time offer being made, in Nov 2009, for the Fall 2010 intake of some programmes of PROTON Ahmedabad and Indore campuses.
  2. These scholarships are purely as per discretion of PROTON’s management, and can be modified, edited, changed or withdrawn at any point in time without giving any prior notice or assigning any reason thereof.
  3. The number of scholarships will be limited in each category, strictly on first-come-first-earn basis and on other conditions that the management may deem fit from time to time. Rules may vary from campus to campus, year to year, intake to intake.
  4. The Management is under no obligation to entertain any application if considered unfit as per its standards.
  5. The grant of scholarship is subject to a candidate’s clearing the PROTON selection process (comprising a written test, group discussion and personal interview). Applicants not appearing in, and not clearing the formal selection process are not eligible for any grant of scholarships whatsoever.
  6. Applicants who wish to avail of any of these scholarships for Fall 2010 intake must apply only through the ONLINE version of PROTON Application Form. This means you will download the relevant PDF file from www.Proton.in/downloads.htm and take a printout of the same, fill it up completely, attach all relevant documents, and courier it to us at Central Admissions Cell, PROTON HQ, Indore.
  7. Any applicant can avail of at the most one scholarship only, of the highest amount permissible as per rules (subject to eligibility, of course). Scholarship amounts cannot be clubbed.
  8. Think carefully before applying. Your “category status” should be chosen carefully. You can nominate yourself for upto two categories only, clearly specifying the order in which you wish us to consider your application. Of course, you should be prima facie eligible for categories you choose to apply in. Further, there is no promise being made of increased chances in case of applying through more than 1 category (i.e. in 2 categories).
  9. All claims made for receiving these scholarships will be investigated by AuthBridge, PROTON’s official background verification service provider. Fraudulent claims and fake information / certificates provided will disqualify you for all times to come, and may invite action as well.
  10. Clarifications and Explanations of Category Rules :  Given below is an explanation (which may be altered or amended from time to time) for the rules governing the grant of scholarships
    1. Category A Scholarship – ACADEMIC HONOURS : You have to fulfill all 3 conditions together. First, you should have scored at least 70 % (seventy percent) marks overall aggregate across all subjects in your standard tenth of a government recognized school (ideally under the Board Exam system). Second, you should have scored at least 70 % (seventy percent) marks overall aggregate across all subjects in your standard twelfth of a government recognized school (ideally under the Board Exam system). Third, you should have scored marks and grades that make you one of the top two students overall of your undergraduate studies in your college (bachelor level studies) of a government recognized college / institution offering a full-time degree programme (BE, BTech, BA, BCom, BBA etc.). The batch size in your college should not have been less than 100 students in your course. These marks have to be aggregate till date (at the point when you are eligible for applying to PROTON business school for the PGP + MBA (dlp) programme). Note : You have to attach certificates of all three achievements with the PROTON Application Form that you courier to us. All 3 certificates (documents) must be attested by a gazetted officer / Principal / Dean / Director.
    2. Category B Scholarship – FAMILY HONOURS : You have to fulfill both conditions together. You have to be the son / daughter of  a Teacher or a Scientist or the son /daughter /grandson /granddaughter of a National Awardee, AND you have scored 60 % or above in your graduation course throughout, then you are eligible for a scholarship of Rs 35,000=00. “Teacher” means that at least one of your parents (mother or father or both) must be in the Full-time Teaching profession for past 10 years continuously (in a govt. recognized school or college or university or private coaching institute). “Scientist” means that at least one of your parents (mother or father or both) must be in the Full-time Scientist profession for past 10 years continuously (in a govt. recognized institute, organization or research lab, or a private institute, organization or research lab). “National Awardee” means that you should be the son or daughter or grandson or granddaughter of a national awardee who has won any one or more of the established civilian or military awards given by the Central Government of India (Padmashri, Padmabhushan, Ashok Chakra, Veer Chakra etc.). Awards for industrial / management achievements are not eligible. Only direct maternal and paternal grandfather or grandmother will be considered as family relatives for the purpose of eligibility. Note : You have to attach certificates of your parent’s / grandparent’s professional or awardee background confirming the claim you are making, and the academic records related certificates, with the PROTON Application Form that you courier to us. All certificates (documents) must be attested by a gazetted officer / Principal / Dean / Director.
    3. Category C Scholarship – COMPETITIVE EXAM HONOURS : You have to fulfill both conditions together. You should have cleared the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) conducted by NCERT at the school level and should have earned the scholarship awarded OR you should have scored a selection rank from 1 to 2500 in the IITJEE conducted when you wrote it, or a rank from 1 to 800 in AIEEE conducted when you wrote it, or a rank from 1 to 100 in a State level PET exam conducted when you wrote it AND you should have scored 60 % or above in your graduation course throughout, then you are eligible for a scholarship of Rs 35,000=00. Note : You have to attach certificates / scorecards / documents of your scholarship award or the exam rank and the academic records related certificates, with the PROTON Application Form that you courier to us. All certificates (documents) must be attested by a gazetted officer / Principal / Dean / Director.
    4. Category D Scholarship – PROFESSIONAL HONOURS : You have to fulfil both conditions. You should be either a qualified Chartered Accountant (awarded the membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants ICAI) or should be a qualified Company Secretary (awarded the membership of the Institute of Company Secretaries) or should be a qualified ME or MTech degree holder or should be a qualified Cost and Works Accountant (awarded the membership of the Institute of Cost and Work Accountants of  India) or should be a qualified Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) (awarded the membership of the ICFAI India or CFA Institute USA) AND you should have scored 60 % or above in your graduation course throughout, then you are eligible for a scholarship of Rs 35,000=00. Note : You have to attach certificates / scorecards / documents of your professional qualifications / award and the academic records related certificates, with the PROTON Application Form that you courier to us. All certificates (documents) must be attested by a gazetted officer / Principal / Dean / Director.
    5. Category E Scholarship – WORK EX HONOURS : You have to fulfill both conditions. You should have an accumulated work experience of at least three full years (or more) working in a recognized firm(s) after completing your graduation course (not during graduation or post-graduation) AND you should have scored 60 % or above in your graduation course throughout, AND you should have a letter of recommendation from your employer stating that you are a good candidate to be considered for PROTON’s PGP + MBA (dlp) then you are eligible for a scholarship of Rs 35,000=00. Note : You have to attach certificates / scorecards / documents / certificates of your job experience and the academic records related certificates, with the PROTON Application Form that you courier to us. All certificates (documents) must be attested by a gazetted officer / Principal / Dean / Director.
    6. Category F Scholarship – Dr.G.S.Manudhane Memorial Outstanding Scholar Scholarship (merit-cum-means) : This is a special scholarship scheme for the truly meritorious and outstandingly brilliant performers – both academically and otherwise. Approval will mean a near complete waiver of Tuition fees from the PGP programme. To be eligible, you have to prove a consistently top-ranking academic performance throughout your formal school and college education. You should be the topper in whatever you have studied so far, and should also support it with other solid claims pertaining to your extra-curricular activities and sports /literary /quizzing /debating /communication achievements. You have to belong to a family background whole annual gross income justifies consideration for this award. Note : You have to attach all certificates / scorecards / documents / certificates of your academic records and extra-curricular achievements, with the PROTON Application Form that you courier to us. All certificates (documents) must be attested by a gazetted officer / Principal / Dean / Director. The salary certificates / family annual income certificate must be attested by the employer also.
  11. An applicant’s being considered eligible for scholarship under any category is valid if and only if the applicant clears the official selection process of PROTON (the PAS) by applying through the regular channel. The status of applicants who do not clear the PAS is considered ipso facto null and void.

MBA of a UGC recognised university is offered in distance learning mode to the students who successfully complete the programme.
