The Head - Curriculum and Courses of the PROTON business school, Mr. Devashish Chakravarty, is from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and winner of Gold Medal for Best All Round Student.
He got the highest campus job offer to an MBA graduate. However, he has opted for entrepreneurship and along with three of his classmates, started the Quetzal group of companies. His enterprising and innovative first initiative, Ten-A-Day-dot-co-in is known to every MBA aspirant. He is an ex-Major from the Indian Army. He has served in four major operations including Kargil and Siachen during his 13 years with the Army, which has given him a deep knowledge of maintaining leadership under stress. He was the all-India UPSC topper for the National Defence Academy in 1987 and has scored a 100 percentile in the CAT twice - 2004 and 2006. Mr. Chakravarty was the best overall student in engineering at the Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering. He was also a finalist for the extremely prestigious Aditya Birla scholarship while at the IIM-Ahmedabad. At the national level, he has competed in sailing and bridge.
