India is a land of promise. Opportunities are visible everywhere. Despite the global slowdown, GDP growth has not stopped or turned negative. Young people from all over are raring to go. The state governments are falling over each other through pothole-lined streets, luring investors and investments.
Staying on top comes to Prof Varun naturally. He topped the school exams (MP Board) and earned his first major Gold-medal, in a series of many yet to come. His graduation experience was no different, with a gold-medal awaiting him at the end of B.Com. He went on to earn another while completing his LL.B programme, and also became the All India Topper, COBOL Programming at the time. While completing his Company Secretary course, he happened to earn the distinction of being the youngest CS in India (in 1992). All this was to naturally lead him to a career in teaching and mentoring, in which he has effectively and meritoriously earned his laurels. His professional teaching experience spans 15 years. As the CEO of Proton, he handles the complete selection processes, admissions criteria and quality control. An avid follower of world affairs, his amiable nature and meticulous approach has endeared him to colleagues and students alike. You can read more of Varun's thoughts daily on profvarunblog.proton.in
